The landscape changes within a few kilometres: beaches, pinewoods, a lake and Apuan trails offer very different experiences. Levels are indicative; always confirm availability, times, prices and conditions with the venue or organiser.

From Forte dei Marmi to Viareggio, always close to the sea

The seafront cycle route passes through Forte dei Marmi, Marina di Pietrasanta, Lido di Camaiore and Viareggio in sequence. It is a flat coastal corridor for getting around, exercising or enjoying the coast at an easy pace.

Character
Flat, coastal and suited to a relaxed outing.
When
Year-round; quieter hours are preferable in summer.
Ways to enjoy it
By bicycle; use skates and skateboards only on sections or in spaces where they are permitted.

Share the space well. Keep your speed moderate and use a helmet and protection; leave room for pedestrians and take particular care around children and pushchairs. On-site signs always take priority.

Malbacco waterfalls and natural pools

Above Seravezza, along the Serra stream and the road climbing from Malbacco towards Azzano, five marked descents lead to waterfalls and natural pools. The fourth reaches Pozzo della Madonna; the fifth is for experienced hikers. Wear suitable footwear: rocks and paths can be slippery. Stay out of the riverbed during rain or storms, do not dive, and respect signs, nature and any summer traffic restrictions.
